Started off the day with Wyatt telling me that it is daylight and time to get up! He did sleep in (for him) and we were up slightly before 8 am. So, we got a drink of apple juice and headed off to church. As we were pulling into church Wyatt asked if we could go to Winstead's afterwards and so we did. While we were at church Wyatt got his own envelope to put his money into for the collection plate. He wrote his name, well, he left a space for the 'a' because he doesn't really like writing 'a'. I showed him how to write a capital 'A' and that made him happy. He then completed his name. I know, his teacher won't be very happy with me.
After church and after Winstead's we headed to the Sports Clip for his haircut. Wyatt did his first sharing of the gospel with his hair stylist. She was listening to him talk of God and so was the other hair dresser and her client. Everyone was beaming.
After the haircut we headed home to pick up the girls. I texted Mendy to see if they wanted to come to the dog park too. They did, so we all met up there. Mendy, Mia, Luke and Simba along with Wyatt, Nala, Scout and myself. I think everyone had fun. Miss Mia tried to get Nala up the A frame. Nala wouldn't go for it. Then they discovered Scout watching them. Mia got Scout up and over. She is a great dog trainer!
After the dog park we dropped Nala off at Lindsay's and took Scout home. Wyatt played Mario Brothers with Richard for awhile. Then Wyatt's momma called and said she was missing Wyatt and so, we headed that way.
We stopped by Lindsay's house so Wyatt could say hi to them and I could love on Kyler for a bit. Craig was nice enough to take a look at my truck.
Then we headed off. On the way to his house Wyatt mentioned that his tank was on empty so we stopped at Jose Peppers. They do a wonderful kids meal! Wyatt got mac and cheese and when they brought it the dinner included a fruit cup and applesauce. After he was done eating the waitress asked if he was ready for his ice cream. His eyes got big and he said yes! With his tank filled we headed on down the road.
Once at his house I stopped and visited with Michael and Mary. Michael was actually listening and talking and even paused the tv! It was nice visiting with them. I love them and the family they have created.
I stopped by Target on my way home and got some groceries. Right now I have a home made vegetable soup simmering. The dogs were happy because they always get the ends of the carrots that I chop off for them.
Today has been a very good day.
A day filled with a full of life little boy sharing the day with me, worshiping, eating and playing.
