That is such a huge load on a child of 19.
A fund has been established to aid the family of Zenia Acedo, a local teenager who became the head of her family of five siblings when her mother recently died.Zenia is 19. Her mother died of cancer in late November, a few weeks after giving birth to a premature daughter. The infant, 4 pound 2 ounce Camila Olga Acedo, was cared for at Truman Medical Center until Friday afternoon. The baby has been placed in foster care temporarily. The father of the infant was deported shortly before the burial of the mother.
Zenia’s intentions are to raise Camila, while also caring for her brothers. A hearing was held Friday and she is receiving pro bono legal help to establish herself as the guardian for her baby sister.
Her next step, with the help of extended family and others, is to try and stabilize the situation to the satisfaction of state officials so Camila can come home to live with her older brothers and sister. Zenia works long hours at a fast food restaurant in Kansas City, Kan.
The outpouring of offers of support and concern has been generous. Checks ranged from $10 to $1,000. More than $2,000 was placed into the account when it was established Friday.
To contribute go to any US Bank and request to make a donation to the Zenia Acedo Relief Fund. Or, checks made payable to Zenia Acedo Relief Fund can be sent to US Bank/Truman Medical Center, attn: Fran Smith, branch manager, 2301 Holmes St., Kansas City, MO 64108.

I found this update from last year: http://cjonline.com/news/2012-12-15/deportation-death-makes-20-year-old-head-family
I would love to hear how she is doing this year. If she needs any help.
