The same ol’ culture wars. But, of course, women have had access to birth control for decades, and no one is trying to take it away. Anyone who suggests otherwise may have been spending too much time with Big Bird. Says Kathleen Parker, opinion writer for the Washington Post.

From what I've seen this election cycle is that people just want to stay in their old thoughts - basically what they thought in high school. They don't want to take their old way of thinking and update it in any way. Scary actually. We need to be very careful about what kids learn in high school.

Why won't anyone really stop and think about what they are getting so mad about or so focused on? If you've held the same opinion about something since high school or earlier maybe you need to look into that opinion again.

You see some things have changed just in our lifetime . . . like the orbit of the earth is no longer a circle. Now they think it is more like an egg or some wonky shape like that. Pluto isn't a planet?!? Seriously, you may need to make an adjustment on your stance on abortion, as an example.

I understand you are all up in arms about the 'white man' getting near your uterus BUT what about the human life that is inside the uterus? Who is watching out for the human life, the tiniest and most defenseless of us all?

AND, why are you getting all up in arms about birth control? I've been listening and I haven't heard any of those 'gray haired white men' talking about taking away condoms or birth control pills.

They are talking about our freedom to not be forced to purchase something that goes against everything we believe in. If you believe that mutiliating/burning and then scraping out, or poisoning a tiny human is murder, then you are going to scream NOOOOOOOOOO if someone says you have to pay for that murder.

Unfortunately the law of the land allows us to kill our children (as long as we can't see or hear them). There is no reason to compound that horror by forcing people who do not believe in the right to kill - to pay for that murder.

There are enough like minded people out there who would happily pay for that abortion.
