On this day the Lord has made . . .

As I was driving home from the grocery store I heard a man on the radio ask what we were leaving our children/grandchildren. He mentioned how he would choose, over any amount of money, the writings from his grandfather . . . if he had left any.

So, I have determined to create a diary/journal of what happened to me on this day(s) the Lord has granted me.

Christ died and rose so that we could live.

Everything we do, we should do, with the thought of God.

Everything we have/are is because of God.

God is the Creator.

When we get caught up in our sins, and the mess this world is, and the thought of His return . . . we are missing the point.

Everything we do, we should do only for God.

In Him we should live and move and have our being.

We are so selfish and we are so stupid. WE ARE.

I get so tired of listening to people explain how God shows himself to them or God forgives them . . . people, it isn't about you. It is all about GOD.

We are whining about giving 10% to Him. It is all His to begin with! He has given it to us so that we can use it for Him. But as I listen to people brag about what they do, or don't do, it upsets me even more. Oh, and don't think I'm saying I'm better than any of them. I'm worse!

This week I've been upset about a post that someone put on the bible study blog. His post was all 'the world is ending if you vote for Obama' and it made me mad. I wasn't voting for Obama but I hate it when people make it appear as if God is short sighted. I was just so mad at what he wrote and I was mad he posted it on our blog site. Which is his too so I shouldn't be mad, but mad I was/am.

Today I saw this post on twitter that spoke of how Jesus bent down, how He was in the continuous process of bending down to take care of us.

The reason I started to write this post was because a thought crossed my mind and I realized that worrying about all my sins is stupid. Miguel worrying about Christ's second coming is stupid. We are all being too short sighted. We should be worrying about using our time to help others. Using our time to show the love of Christ. Using our resources to share the love of Christ. Because we are forgiven of our sins and if we are busy taking care of others we are too busy to be sinning anyway. And worrying about the second coming of Christ . . . seriously? Is there anything we can do to stop it or to make it happen sooner? NO, it is under the control of God and if we are of His family we don't need to be worried about the second coming because we will be with Him!

We need to wake up. Quit being so selfish and realize that when God speaks of the rich man in the bible - he is talking about us.

To those who much is given - much is expected. Luke 12:48

Am I the only one who worries about that?

  • God please be with my family/friends as they go through this time in their lives. Please give them strength and courage and wisdom and faith Lord.
  • God please guide the leaders of the world.
  • God please heal my children.
  • Please heal those that have asked for prayer.
