This morning I woke up to Dr. McGee speaking on Romans 8. He called it the highlight of the Bible.
He used an analogy of a person cooking a roast for the noon meal. They place the roast in the oven right after breakfast because they will be having roast for lunch. They start to clean up the kitchen and the phone rings. It's their neighbor saying, "have you heard the news?" So they pull up a chair and they start to listen. An hour or two goes by and then they start to smell the burnt roast. They hang up and run into the kitchen and grab a fork so they can pull the roast out but the fork won't lift that roast out of the pan, it just won't catch no matter if they move the fork here or there or even close to the bone. So the person goes over and grabs a spatula. With the fork and the spatula they are able to pull that flesh out of the burning oven.
The fork is the law and I am thinking the spatula is the Holy Spirit OR actually I think it is Jesus Christ Himself. The Good News! With His resurrection, He paid the price for us so that we can be lifted out of the fire!
The thing is I listen, but once I'm out of the hearing, I forget, so I will have to listen to this broadcast again. I have all of his 5 year program on my computer and it is easily accessed through the internet. I am saying this so my children or my friends can find this powerful resource anytime on their own. ttb.org doesn't charge for this. The first time a radio/tv preacher gives knowledge away for free. Can you feel the truth here?!? I can.
Go to ttb.org and click the listen button. Go to the daily 5 year bible study and click on the button that says search for the broadcast you have missed. Now of course the path to this may have changed but trust me - it is worth the time it takes for you to search.

I'm listening to Dr. McGee speak while I'm working and the section where he is talking about Romans 8:33-35. Oh my . . . this is spectacular.
Do you know that He prays for us if we forget to?
On this day the Lord has made . . .
As I was driving home from the grocery store I heard a man on the radio ask what we were leaving our children/grandchildren. He mentioned how he would choose, over any amount of money, the writings from his grandfather . . . if he had left any.
So, I have determined to create a diary/journal of what happened to me on this day(s) the Lord has granted me.

Prayer List
- Thank you Father thank you.
- Lord, extend the kingdom of your Son.
- O Merciful God, who hast made all men, and hatest nothing that thou hast made, nor desirest the death of a sinner, but rather that he should be converted and live; Have mercy upon all who know thee not as thou are revealed in the Gospel of thy Son. Take from them all ignorance, hardness of heart, and contempt of thy Word; and so fetch them home, blessed Lord to thy fold, that they may be one flock under one shepherd, Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.
- God please take the blinders from my children's heart and eyes. Please give them the gift of faith. Lord God, faith in you is so comforting and brings so much joy. Thank you!
- God please bless Michael, Lindsay, and their families with faith, wisdom, and compassion. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- God thank you for the gift of my co-workers who have shown me that it is good to show that I am a Christian. It is more than okay, it is imperative that my faith shows, so that others can come to know you. Please make me into a shining light for you. Give me the words, and your wisdom, and please don't let me cause anyone to stumble.
- God please be with my family/friends as they go through this time in their lives. Please give them strength and courage and wisdom and faith Lord.
