I and the Father are one, part 1
Bible study this morning with John MacArthur. The book of John about Jesus.
The book of John chronicles how much the people of Israel in that time rejected Jesus.
The leaders of Israel confronted Jesus all the time. They tried to manipulate the crowd into going against Jesus. They liked to do this at feasts - like this one: The Feast of Lights
400 year period between the Old and New Testament
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
The love of sin produces unbelief.
Unless the heart is turned to hate sin - you can't believe.
John 7:17 speaks about the desire to do the will of God - you will hate/disbelieve God if you refuse
Truth is offensive to those who want to stay in their darkness (sin)
This will take the non-believer to hell.
I and the Father are one, part 2
Chapter 10 is a turning point in John's history. 10 is the last Chapter where John gives an account of the public ministry of Jesus.
Really good series that you can find on the internet at gty.org
