Met Beth at the AMC Main Street Theater downtown Kansas City. Her daughter Emily had tickets to see Lil Wayne at the Sprint Center. Beth came down with them so that she would know they were safe. So, Beth and I went to see the new Planet of the Apes movie at Cinema Suites - so nice. Big red recliners with our own little tables and the little red light that brings someone to wait on our every need.

After the movie we walked further into the Power and Light District. We ended up at Makers Mark. The waiter, when he finally walked over to us, said something about after 9 pm they have a special for their drinks under $35. Ummm, kinda caught me off guard. Come to find out that a coke and Makers Mark was $9. So $4.50 wasn't quite as shocking as the $35. lol

As I was sitting in the window at the theater I realize how blessed I am. I was sitting in a comfortable chair with a drink filled with sparkly ice cubes and a slice of lime, in the air conditioning looking out at a newly revived city waiting on a much loved friend. Overwhelming gratitude just filled me. Thank you Lord!

The Bible says that we can't imagine heaven and we already have all of this!?!
