Excuse me? I can't make a decision about how I feel about a dog unless I have owned one?!?
Then of course, there is the favorite saying of people when it comes to Christians (lately liberals are taking over the label): They are so judgmental, etc.
Here is the definition of judging:
judging present participle of judge (Verb)
Verb

I refuse to not judge! Absolutely totally and completely refuse to stop making judgments. Seriously people. Are you asking us to quit thinking and making decisions?!? Have you noticed that the only time people say this is when they disagree with a judgment you have made?
Touched a hot stove once. I very quickly made a judgment and decided to never again touch a hot stove.
Went on a date with a man I had a strong feeling that I shouldn't. I ended up walking along a deserted gravel road all alone late at night because I wouldn't do what he wanted me to do. After that little episode I made a judgment that I would not be alone with someone when my intuition was so strongly warning me against.
Judgments are made all the time. We must make judgments to survive.
People, do not buy into the fear of being called judgmental!
I call it having a spine, standing up for yourself and what you believe.
With that said I don't want anyone to be hateful or feel superior but of course you shouldn't feel that way anytime towards people. However, you have to make judgments and you really must stick with your judgments.
Wisdom, integrity, honor . . . judgment has to be the forerunner of all of those traits.
A friend once commented on how sad they were about how the rainbow was taken over by people who identify themselves by what kind of sex they like to have. Then one day that same person said, out loud and with determination, "I'm taking back the rainbow". Well, I'm taking back the word judgment. Making a judgment is a good and necessary part of our lives. Calling me judgmental is telling me that you have noticed that I am able to take in information and make a decision based on the information gathered. I am a decision maker and I'm not ashamed to admit this fact!
