On this day the Lord has made . . .

As I was driving home from the grocery store I heard a man on the radio ask what we were leaving our children/grandchildren. He mentioned how he would choose, over any amount of money, the writings from his grandfather . . . if he had left any.

So, I have determined to create a diary/journal of what happened to me on this day(s) the Lord has granted me.

details

Last night I should have written more details down about what brought about the agreement between Mary and Michael that they would use me as a go-between for communication between them.

Saturday night Wyatt hit his head on the corner of the coffee table at Lindsay's house. He ended up with a cut right beside his eye. We put ice on it immediately so the swelling was minimal and Michael placed two butterfly strips on the cut to keep it closed.

Monday afternoon I texted Michael to see how Mary reacted. His text back was that she knows Wyatt and she understands. Well, last night that all changed. She texted Michael that she had to take him to the hospital because he needed stitches and the cut was infected. She wouldn't tell Michael where Wyatt was. Michael was freaking out. The normal psycho Jerry Springer bologna continued until Michael called me and asked me to make it stop. Of course, I can't make anything stop.  I just told him to not react to her. She calls me. She starts her fake crying and tells me that Wyatt is fine. He didn't get stitches and since he's on Amoxycillin the doctor didn't do anything. Which is exactly what we all knew was the truth. The cut wasn't infected. We had done all the correct first aid. He didn't need stitches and butterfly bandages were perfect for holding the cut together had it swelled again.

She wanted the phone numbers blocked. She wanted me to be the person they communicated between. I offered that Michael would talk with her mother and she could talk with me. She didn't want Michael talking with her mother so it is through me for both of them.  She gave me the number to block so they couldn't communicate. Not even 30 minutes later she contacted Michael via her Mom's home phone. Michael immediately texted me and asked me to block that number too. He had already given me her cousin's phone number to block. I blocked all the numbers I had listed for Mary.

Hopefully this will cut the drama and create a better and more sane life for the kids.

The good part about this last blow up is now Michael is set on a course of action that will create a sane atmosphere for Wyatt to grow up in.

I just hope the agreement holds. The only communication between the two of them should occur between lawyers. They can use me for any changes to the arrangements for who has Wyatt and when.
