The people I work with, and the job I do, I love.
Plus, God has blessed me with people who have helped me to grow spiritually and helped me to become who I really and truly am.
I'm not worried about saying that I am a Christian. (I used to worry that I wasn't good enough to say I was a Christian.) I am not worried about saying that I believe that the Bible is the word of God. (Because people seem to think bible believers are less intelligent.)
Anthony, in his humming and singing and unashamed happiness in reading and talking about Him. Cari, with her courage to come to me with the tactics that are given in "The Way Of The Master". Reading to me the 10 commandments and sticking in there with me when she starts asking me if I have told a lie. If I have stolen. If I have looked with lust . . . I laughed at her at the time but believe me all that she had said hit me pretty hard. Between the two of them they got me back into my Bible. Add to all of this the Bible Study group we have and all of the encouragement of my fellow studiers. Now I can honestly say that the Holy Spirit has blessed me and is helping me grow and learn and discern the word of God.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly
furnished unto all good works.(2 Timothy 3:16, 17)
Just this week I've had about five different experiences all pointing to the Holy Spirits working.
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand
the scriptures.
(Luke 24:45)
No one can understand the scriptures without the Holy Spirit explaining them to him. Things of spirit we can't understand without the help of the Spirit.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's
wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Spirit teacheth, comparing
spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not
the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
(1 Corinthians 2:13, 14 NSRB)
