On this day the Lord has made . . .

As I was driving home from the grocery store I heard a man on the radio ask what we were leaving our children/grandchildren. He mentioned how he would choose, over any amount of money, the writings from his grandfather . . . if he had left any.

So, I have determined to create a diary/journal of what happened to me on this day(s) the Lord has granted me.

this weekend

This last week/weekend was full of blessings.

Spent Saturday with Lindsay and Kyler getting some shopping done.

Sunday, the boys went to church with me. Church was amazing in how we celebrated Palm Sunday. Services started with a dedication of a baby - always sweet and then services continued with just the choir singing praises. Christian asked me about the song "Mary Wept". He wanted to know why she was crying and when I told him that Jesus was her son and that she was crying because he was on the cross. Christian got very quiet.

In the car on the way to church I mentioned that today was Palm Sunday and Christian asked what that meant. I told him that this was when Jesus entered Jerusalem and the people placed their robes and palm branches along his path as he entered. I mentioned that this was his one year anniversary of becoming a Christian and Wyatt said, "Can I be a Christian?" (Talk about the Lord blessing me with the honor of being able to tell of Him.) I told Wyatt that of course he can be a Christian.

Christian asked another question which led me to tell him of the story of how Jesus died on the cross and rose again. Christian was asking about reincarnation and he was asking if it was real. That is what led me into how the Bible tells us that all Christians will be resurrected just like Jesus. Christian just beamed and said that this was good news. Then I smiled, my whole heart smiled, because it is true - this IS good news! Christian asked how I knew this and I told him that the Bible is God’s word and the Bible tells us.

Sunday Mary came over and cleaned and organized for me. She is such a lifesaver for me. Not just for her help but for all she does with the boys and our faith. The boys and I headed over to Lindsay’s where the boys (including Kyler) all played outside.

Mary had given me news of Michael mentioning to Christian that his words wouldn’t make God happy. (Christian was having a bad moment.) Christian told Michael that he couldn’t say that because Michael didn’t go to church. Michael replied that this didn’t stop him from knowing right from wrong.

Earlier in the week Lindsay told me that she did believe in Jesus!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said, it was a good week/weekend that was full of blessings. Thank you Lord!
