I thought this weekend would be full of being at work and catching up. Instead I went to work and did my due diligence and realized that I simply am not able to do what is required. I just don't know protection & controls well enough to get that job done.
Also, Michael called Friday night and asked if Wyatt could come over. :) And, I had the weekend off from my volunteer job so Wyatt and I got to spend some time together. We didn't go anywhere we just hung around at home talking and playing games. He was surprised to hear that we are praying for his Mom. He wasn't surprised when I told him we were praying for he and Christian. But he did a double take when I mentioned his Mom. He's only 9. How did he get so wise?
Lindsay had us all over to her house for Father's Day. Wonderful day. First early church and a great discussion in adult study. Then I stopped and picked up some groceries and headed to Lindsay's house.
Kyler and I were reading books at one point. Adrianna came in and she listened for a while. Eventually she looked through his pile of books and came up with a couple she wanted to read. She read them to us. She is going into first grade next school year. :) She read us the story of Daniel in the lions den. She told us before she started that this story wasn't too scary. When she went to the next book that was the story of Paul, she read the first page to herself. She stopped and she looked at me sadly. Then she read me the first page and it said that Paul didn't believe in Jesus. I told her that it was okay. This story didn't end badly. :)
Before I got to Lindsay's house I asked God to please show me how I can share Christ with them. Instead, a beautiful smart little girl shared Christ with us :)
Now I'm home and I should be working on schoolwork.
But I do want to tell a story that was told in adult study. Gwen was talking about how a friend had to talk with her youngest daughter about how come God let her oldest daughter be sick with a weak heart. She told the youngest that God didn't want her to be sick but that we lived in a fallen world. The little girl asked her what she meant. So she took a Ken and Barbie doll and said this is Adam and Eve. They were in the Garden of Eden and they had everything in the world at their disposal. God said to not eat of the fruit of this one tree. But they did. The only thing the Mom had was a pear. Well, the next morning the little girl was explaining to her Dad why her big sister was sick. She said Ken and Barbie at the pear! :)
Gwen was talking to some girls at work and she retold the story. She said they were basically in their twenties and didn't know the story of Adam and Eve. People don't know basic history of the Bible. So sad.
So glad that Adrianne's Mom is taking her to Sunday school so that she can learn. So very happy that Lindsay has books with bible stories in them at her house.
On this day the Lord has made . . .
As I was driving home from the grocery store I heard a man on the radio ask what we were leaving our children/grandchildren. He mentioned how he would choose, over any amount of money, the writings from his grandfather . . . if he had left any.
So, I have determined to create a diary/journal of what happened to me on this day(s) the Lord has granted me.

Prayer List
- Thank you Father thank you.
- Lord, extend the kingdom of your Son.
- O Merciful God, who hast made all men, and hatest nothing that thou hast made, nor desirest the death of a sinner, but rather that he should be converted and live; Have mercy upon all who know thee not as thou are revealed in the Gospel of thy Son. Take from them all ignorance, hardness of heart, and contempt of thy Word; and so fetch them home, blessed Lord to thy fold, that they may be one flock under one shepherd, Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.
- God please take the blinders from my children's heart and eyes. Please give them the gift of faith. Lord God, faith in you is so comforting and brings so much joy. Thank you!
- God please bless Michael, Lindsay, and their families with faith, wisdom, and compassion. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- God thank you for the gift of my co-workers who have shown me that it is good to show that I am a Christian. It is more than okay, it is imperative that my faith shows, so that others can come to know you. Please make me into a shining light for you. Give me the words, and your wisdom, and please don't let me cause anyone to stumble.
- God please be with my family/friends as they go through this time in their lives. Please give them strength and courage and wisdom and faith Lord.
- God please guide the leaders of the world.
- God please heal my children.
- Please heal those that have asked for prayer.
