letter to my children

It dawned on me this morning that what you said to me a while back was the truth. When you said that God was just white noise to you. I believe you. The Bible tells us that the things of God are spiritual. The things of this world are what most people know. The spiritual is unknown and not knowable to them until God calls you to Him. He does clearly say that you can ask, and He will give.

A person who isn't spiritual doesn't accept the teachings of God's Spirit. He thinks they're nonsense. He can't understand them because a person must be spiritual to evaluate them. 1 Corinthians 2:14

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5

There is so much out there. So much wonder. Sometimes it may feel overwhelming but mostly it just isn’t overwhelming. It is completely simple. We have so much proof that Jesus walked this earth. Even people who have tried to prove history wrong have been unable to. So that makes faith easier because so much is knowable. For you and me, it is easy to believe that God exists because we have children. Also, because we have eyes to see all that IS in this world. 😊 We know that someone must be behind all of this.

To be saved we must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. We need to realize that Jesus paid the price for our sins and through Him we have eternal life.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life.

You don’t have to change who you are to ask Jesus to come into your life. Just ask Him. Tell Him that you want to know more. You want to love Him and know Him. Once you begin to see, and begin to know Jesus Himself, He will change you into someone who can understand, because you will be spiritual. You will want to know more and through His Holy Spirit you will know and feel more. The change happens gradually. (and instantly 😊 ) 

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

This gift is from God. We don’t have to do anything. Because it is a gift, and so easy, it is a stumbling block for most people. The world tells you that it is hard and that it is false and silly and white noise . . . being a child of God is not any of those things. It is hope and joy and strength and comfort and being loved. (Even through all the bad things of this world.)

1 John 3:1
Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.

All you have to do is ask Jesus to come into your life and show you. He will.
