I thought it was a catchy phrase - what I put as the title of this post. Just as I finished typing it though a thought hit me. I wasn't supposed to be working for the man. I was supposed to be working for God.
Don't get me wrong. That doesn't mean that I was meant to be a missionary. I could have worked for God in any job. And that's what I should have been doing the entire time.
I just meant that I'm no longer a slave to a wage. Still slave to a budget but at least I'm not tied to a chair anymore. Now instead of living at work, I get to live and discover what I want to work at. So many options.
God is so good.
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
